Religion Specific

Religion and Philosophy Collection (EBSCOhost) full-text, scholarly journals. Topics: world religions, major denominations, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy.

Religion Database (ProQuest) Covers formal theological studies and commentary on topics of general interest.

Tip: Add the keyword “Lutheran” to your search in databases to Limit your results to relevant materials

American Theological Library Association (ATLA) Historical Monographs Collections-Series 1 (EBSCOhost) Titles from the 13th century through the 1893 World Parliament of Religions, with the majority of titles from the 19th century.

American Theological Library Association (ATLA) Historical Monographs Collection-Series 2 (EBSCOhost) Features titles published from 1894-1923. Topics: growing interest in Eastern religions from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, shifts in the religious identification of Americans,  the evangelical movement and evangelical sermons,  missionary activities, and biographies of nineteenth century theologians.

ATLASerials (EBSCOhost) Full-text database is a collection of major religion and theology journals. Topics: all major religious faiths, major denominations, and language groups. 1949-present.

LCMS Specific

Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Commission on Theology and Church Relations Provides study documents and statements on a number of significant theological issues.

Luthers Werke (ProQuest) Luthers Werke (Weimarer Ausgabe) Contains the complete collection of Martin Luther’s writings. Content: Bible translations and his treatises, sermons, letters, Tischreden, poems, and hymns.
